October Employee Spotlight: Alison

How long have you been in the massage industry, and how long specifically with Massage Studio?

I joined the massage industry this year and have been with Massage Studio since May.

What inspired you to start a career in massage?

I’ve always liked helping people and this is a great way to do that, mentally and physically. 

What are some of your specific day-to-day responsibilities?

I perform massages on guests including therapeutic, Swedish, deep tissue. I’ve also adding new modalities recently. I also make sure my room is set for the guest and at the end of the day, I make sure the next LMT has a room that is set up for success. 

What are your massage specialty areas?

Deep tissue, Swedish, therapeutic. I recently added hot stones, prenatal, and sports.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Hearing a guest tell me how much better they feel! If there has been something bothering them and I am able to help them fix it, that’s the best!!

What made you choose Massage Studio?

The atmosphere and the people! 

How has Massage Studio supported your career goals?

By providing trainers and training sessions.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I like to go out dancing, hanging out with my friends, reading, and crafting when I get the chance.
