Originating in Sweden, Swedish massage is the most commonly practiced style of massage throughout the Western world. It is meant to energize your mind, body and spirit, reduce stress, anxiety and muscle tension, while improving blood circulation and flexibility for your overall well-being.

Your Massage

During a Swedish massage, your therapist will incorporate various techniques, including long, gliding strokes, kneading, circular motions, tapping and friction, to manipulate the muscles and soft tissues of your body. A massage oil (add our CBD oil upgrade) or lotion will be applied to minimize friction and allow for smooth, fluid movements that glide over your skin. These therapeutic movements, such as the long, flowing strokes, not only help release toxins and stimulate the lymphatic system for detoxification and immune system boost but also improve circulation, flexibility and help alleviate tension.

Your Type

Swedish massage may be well-suited for you if you find yourself sitting at a desk most of the day, have a tight neck, frequent headaches or are experiencing higher than normal levels of stress. Don’t hesitate to let your therapist know during your initial consultation if you have specific areas of concern you would like them to focus on.

Your Comfort

We want you to be as comfortable as possible during your massage. You will be fully and modestly draped with a sheet/blanket during your massage and your therapist will only uncover the part of the body being worked on, re-draping and tucking for your comfort. You may also request that certain parts of your body not be massaged.

Overall, a Swedish massage from Massage Studio offers a soothing and rejuvenating experience that promotes relaxation, relieves muscle tension and improves your overall physical and mental well-being.
