September Employee Spotlight: Rachel

What is your role?

My role at Massage Studio is Assistant Manager in our St. Petersburg location. Which means you can find me all over the studio! Sometimes I will be up front assisting our wonderful guest coordinators. Sometimes I will be in the back assisting my manager, Dani. 

How long have you been with Massage Studio?

 I have been with Massage Studio for a few weeks now.

What made you choose Massage Studio?

The first thing that stood out to me about Massage Studio is that it is a small business and women owned. I was looking for a job that would inspire and support me. I felt that immediately from the talented women I met here!

How does the Massage Studio team support you?

Communication really is key and Massage Studio has their communication on point! I always feel prepared and excited to start my day here.

What’s your favorite part of your job? 

My favorite part of the job is the people I have met. Whether that is employees or guests, I enjoy talking to people and making their day better!

Describe your favorite Massage Studio memory.

My favorite memory so far was my birthday. I had the day off and the next day I came to work to a cake that was my favorite color, beautiful flowers, and a card signed by everybody. Not only that but, everyone individually asked about my birthday and were so happy for me. I really feel cared for here!

What self-care techniques have you learned since working at Massage Studio?

I have learned that it is always worth it to ask for help or support. A good team is there for you. Also to drink more water!

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I like to read, watch movies, and explore downtown. I just moved to St Pete so discovering new places and meeting so many new people has made a huge impact on my life lately!
