Tampa Employee Spotlight: Karla R.
Meet Karla, one of our Supervisors from our Tampa location! Karla is an integral part of our team and we appreciate her hard work and dedication to helping our guests and fellow Massage Studio team members. We recently asked Karla a few questions about her Massage Studio experience, and why she loves her job:
How long have you been in the massage industry, and how long specifically with Massage Studio?
It has been almost a year in the massage industry, but with Massage Studio, I started with them last year and left for a few months, and have been back almost a month now.
What inspired you to start a career in massage?
What inspired me to start a career in massage was the moment I realized that massage can really help people mentally and physically. While studying psychology, I wanted to find a way I can help both by scheduling people with amazing massage therapists who care about helping them too.
What are some of your specific day-to-day responsibilities?
Aside from being the face at the front desk and helping guests with scheduling, I also supervise the studio and make sure everything is going accordingly. I also help the massage therapists with any concerning needs and help guests enjoy their time here at Massage Studio.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is seeing guests come out of their massage feeling so relaxed that they are just happy to finally have that feeling of restoration for an hour or so. Also, I enjoy being there for my team every day; I enjoy how they connect with their guests and never disappoint.
What made you choose Massage Studio?
The reason I chose Massage Studio is that once I did my research on the company, I found many great reviews, which drew me in to get to know the studio hands-on. After finishing the interview process, it opened my eyes to how management really cared about me and the team they have.
How has Massage Studio supported your career goals?
For my career goals, Massage Studio has given me a lot of experience with helping people in any way possible. I learn something new every day whether it's how a guest experiences their interactions with the massage therapist or how to handle any issues a guest may have.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to relieve my stress at the gym and enjoy my time with family and friends.
