Employee Spotlight: Cara

Meet Cara, our lead South Tampa massage therapist! Cara joined the Massage Studio team in 2015, shortly after passing her MBLEX (Massage Board Licensing Exam). Coming this far is an achievement in its own right as statistics show that most LMTs don’t make it past the 5 year mark. Cara, on the other hand, is just getting started in her promising career.

When asked about her experience since certification, Cara had this to say, “Massage Studio has presented opportunities I never imagined five years ago! I’m so thankful! It was also the first and only place I interviewed! Destiny? I think so!”

Cara decided to pursue a career in massage because of a lifelong calling to help people. “I love the holistic healing aspect. I get to help take away pain without surgery or medications! I always want the client to be seen as a guest and be excited to come in for their pain relief and escape from reality,” she said. Her specialties as a licensed massage therapist include Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Myofascial Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Sports Massage and Prenatal Massage. 

As our lead therapist, Cara works hard to not only offer great massages to guests, but also to interview, train, and mentor more junior therapists. She’s responsible for continuously enhancing our training programs and our team, and setting protocols and standards for our massage operations. 

We greatly admire her passion for the art and science of massage, and can’t wait to see what she continues to bring to the table as her career develops further. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially on the coast.

Cara recently shared a note of thanks at this point in her career, and we wanted to share the love: “Thank you for your guidance, support, trusting and believing in me. I wouldn’t have grown so much in my career, and as a woman, without each and every one of you.”
